Here are some helpful tips for setting up your InvisiMat.

InvisiMat Glass Chair Mat

Getting Started

Take extreme care as you install your glass chair mat. Do not allow your new chair mat to come in contact with any type of metal (including metal furniture legs or metal chair casters) or another piece of glass before it is in place—doing so will void your warranty.

To begin installation, stand the glass mat on its edge on a carpet or towel, and lean it against a wall or desk with the underside (non-beveled side) facing you. Clean the underside of the glass using a standard glass cleaner before proceeding.

Thoroughly vacuum and clean the floor or carpeting where the mat will be placed. Once the mat is in place, any debris left on or under the glass will be visible.

Ensure there is at least one inch of clearance between the mat’s edge and any nearby objects, such as metal desk or cabinet legs, to prevent potential damage. This one-inch gap is strongly recommended.

If you're placing your glass chair mat on a non-carpeted floor, use the provided plastic disks to prevent the mat from shifting. Simply place a disk between the glass and the floor approximately every 24 inches along the mat's edge for secure positioning.

When you put your chair mat in position, the beveled side will be on top. Once you have the mat situated on the floor, clean the top side with glass cleaner. Now it’s ready to use!

Care and Usage

InInvisiMat chair mats are exceptionally durable, but extra care is needed to protect the edges. Avoid striking or dropping the mat on its edges to maintain its integrity.

If you spill something on the glass chair mat, it may become very slippery. Immediately wipe up any spills and exercise caution until the mat is completely dry.

Exercise caution—your desk chair will roll faster and more smoothly than ever before.
